Who I am
welcome to my page. I am a Physiotherapist regularly registered in the FNOFI Order (National Federation of Physiotherapists Order).
I treat pathologies in both orthopedic and neurological fields (motor and cognitive neurorehabilitation) using the most widespread and tested rehabilitation methods – such as Mézière postural gymnastics, the Lyonnais Method for scoliosis, Caufriez hypopressive abdominal gymnastics, l’RMP Kabat concept, the ETC of Carlo Perfetti, il Bobath concept, Vodder lymphatic drainage and NeuroMuscular Taping – selected based on the different needs of individual clinical cases.
I have a Master's degree in Neurorehabilitation and have been a teacher of Motor and Cognitive Neurorehabilitation in the Degree Course in Physiotherapy at the Unicamillus University of Rome.
In the field of women's health I deal with problems relating to the pelvic floor and abdominal diastasis, both from a rehabilitative and preventive point of view.
With foreign patients I can speak fluently in both English and French.

Real testimonials from those who have tried my methods
They say about me
Maria Teresa Bazzigaluppi I have known her recently, but I was immediately struck by his kindness and his communication. Later I also appreciated the professionalism, genuine interest in the patient and the desire to offer him the best of his extensive professional experience. He is also a very nice person
Alessandra Bonacci Solar and updated (despite his strong preparation, which is not for everyone) and very attentive to the patient. He knows how to move with him, sometimes guiding and spurring him on, other times following paths where a different kind of attention prevails, less active (in the traditional sense of the term) but no less effective for this, rather. Empathy, professionalism and many tools at your disposal, who knows how to use and dose according to the situation.
Carla Giannotti It is impossible to find the words to describe what I think of Virginia.a Her expertise, professionalism, passion, its human value are indescribable and priceless. Not only did he get back on his feet, in motion and independently, my mother after being told in the hospital that she would never walk again, but it was a constant and very deep support for me after my mom came to live with us, he helped me, listened to and taught what it means to grow old and, after all, what it means to live. Thanks Virginia
But I found a real professional in Virginia, attentive to my needs not only for health (which is very rare these days!). He put me at ease from the first moment welcoming me with sweetness, determined to understand and solve my problem. One step at a time we built the treatment that made me feel reborn from an annoying back pain that I had been carrying around for a long time.! What to say??? I definitely recommend it!!! I couldn't have fallen into better hands!
Francesco Radeglia I am a boy of 27 years and in the last 2 alas, I only met health professionals who helped me instead of helping, rendered invalid, except 1: Virginia Barghini! In early February, after an unsuccessful resection of right frontal cortical dysplasia that caused me seizures in the left upper limb with consequent left hemiplegia, I contact Virginia, which immediately inspires confidence in me thanks to her strong empathy, professionalism, sincerity and ability to adapt neurorehabilitation therapy to suit the patient. Alas in the same month another rectal prolapse resection surgery gone bad brings me almost to death and a consequent left colonstomy practically impossible to manage due to a prolapse of 20cm. Virginia, despite my health conditions do not allow to follow the classic neurorehabilitative protocols, thanks to his great mental flexibility and taking inspiration from the Perfect methods, Kabath,Bobath and neurotaping manages to have surprising results especially on the left upper limb that the same neurosurgeons gave up for dead. If it weren't for his patience, continuous study, spirit of initiative and self-denial,sympathy and proactive energy I would still live a severely limited life in my movements and personal autonomy,as well as a consequent depressive state given by the strong restriction of perspectives at such a young age. I will be grateful all my life to Virginia Barghini and her work that has slowly allowed me to regain hope and will to live and for this reason I would strongly advise all people of any age to contact and rely on her for any physiotherapy treatment and / or neurorehabilitative!!
Federico Magnani Serious and honest professional, with an interest primarily in the patient and his care( I am not at all obvious in my experience) As far as I'm concerned, he manages to have an excellent overview, to then understand where to focus the work. Despite being followed for a short time, I already experience changes, and tangible and substantial benefits. Super recommended Thanks dr. ssa Barghini!
Flavia I was lucky enough to meet Virginia by chance. At first, I was afraid I would come across a physiotherapist like all the others - "two exercises and at home" as I have been suffering from severe scoliosis for years - but I immediately changed my mind. Indeed, I have been carrying out several cycles of physiotherapy since adolescence and unfortunately I have never been able to solve it, let alone now that a 27 years "the situation can only get worse". Right from the first telephone contact, I felt that Virginia has Time to listen and Preparation and study to find the best solution, and having found both in a single specialist seems to me a chimera. Subsequently, the physiotherapy sessions we did together went very well, exceeding expectations. In all these years I have never done physiotherapy sessions so studied in detail and effective- although I already have 27 years and it seemed I could never get better. Virginia has a great preparation, but above all real interest in the patient, and his goal is clear to resolve the situation rather than just cover the appointments. I highly recommend it to everyone, not to have the same remorse of not having known her before!! Thank you very much Virginia!!
Francesca Some years ago, when I went to the Policlinico Umberto I ° to do some physiotherapy sessions, I met Dr. Virginia Barghini. It was sympathy at first sight as Virginia was always smiling and caring with everyone and her presence made the place and the physiotherapy sessions pleasant.. I recently contacted her to be followed up for various problems that Parkinson's disease causes me. Unfortunately, I only had the opportunity to do four sessions and then the compulsory stop period began due to "Coronavirus". It took me four sessions to get to know Virginia better. He gave me all his attention so I immediately felt understood about my many problems ......... I was finally listened to and understood !! Virginia immediately studied how to treat mine "pains and my bad postures" focusing his time and attention on them. With extreme dedication he personalized his interventions, by contacting me and also following me via the web to do so - given the forced interruption - to lighten my problems. He is a very special person who, in addition to his high professionalism, he knows how to give the patient what the patient always seeks that is "attention, friendliness and humanity".
Orietta She is a very good doctor, professional and competent, kind and helpful. Our path is having excellent results. If you need physical therapy, I recommend Dr. Virginia Barghini!!
David I was lucky to find Virginia Barghini as my physiotherapist. Communication is all important when dealing with medical problems and Virginia’s command of the English language and her understanding of the British sense of humour has made my visits most enjoyable as well as beneficial in the treatment of my condition. Virginia not only has an abundance of professional knowledge but, importantly, soft hands. I have no hesitation in recommending her, not only as a first-rate physiotherapist but also for her kindness and empathy.
Marco Piccioni In my experience, unfortunately more extensive than I would like, I met three types of operators in the field of physiotherapy: those who do damage (the incompetent), those who limit themselves to their homework (the majority), and those who are competent (unfortunately quite rare). Virginia has made my simplistic classification obsolete, because in addition to being an extremely competent person in the treatment of neurological pathologies, it puts that something that in my opinion puts it above the competition: the passion for what he does. This resulted in my case (Parkinson) to a personalized approach that has proved effective in improving (and, it is possible to improve in the context of neurodegenerative disease!) my physical condition significantly, giving me back some of that freedom of movement that I thought was irremediably lost. Thanks Virginia, keep it up'!
Anna Maria I am a great woman, 60 years and, immediately after my second brain surgery I could not speak, write and what else to say: I didn't understand anything. The medical team that treated me, he advised me to go to Virginia. Little by little we started our journey which lasted for more than a year. Virginia has never left me alone, taught me to write and talk about everything. If sometimes I forget a word, I try to add another one ... I try, this Virginia taught me. Thanks, for me you were an ANGEL!!!!
Charlotte Mespoulet I found Dr. Barghini to be very attentive and very professional. I find great pleasure in going to the sessions, first of all because it relaxes me, but also because the doctor is someone very talkative and talking with her is therefore very pleasant. To finish, I want to clarify that I have seen glaring improvements since she treated me.
Marco Extremely positive experience. I am still followed by Dr. Barghini for the treatment of the consequences of a severe stenosis of the spine and I must confess that every time I leave the therapy I feel a different person. The doctor's ability to understand the problem and act on those parts of the body that require intervention is extraordinary. Never repetitive, always listens carefully to the problems and feelings of the patient and acts accordingly. Despite having tried other experiences, I believe that choosing Dr. Barghini for my rehabilitation process was the best decision I could have made. Also excellent for teenagers. My daughter of 13 she is also in therapy with the doctor for years.
Simonetta Carissima Virginia, you want to know what I think of you? All the "male" possible!! You're good, patient, nice, ironic and severe at the right time, but above all profound connoisseur of your work. I have seen it on my person . After every treatment done with you I feel like a "cricket". I will hardly be able to do without you . I started this letter with a joke: I hope you have forgiven me. Maria Simnonetta
Tiziana Virginia was able to immediately identify the cause of chronic ailments that had existed for a very long time and had not been taken seriously by previous therapists.. And actually just two days after the first session I noticed, much to my surprise, the first obvious improvements. Within a few weeks there was an improvement in posture, breathing, digestion and also night rest. Thank you very much Virginia for giving me the chance to feel good in my body again!
Irene excellent professional for the treatment of scoliosis in pediatric age - preteen. scrupulous, able to interact with the patient and encourage the therapeutic path.
Piero Umberto Professional of rare intellectual honesty; prepared, he hit on My problem without many pompous frills and solved it in a few sessions; an example of seriousness.
Stefano Leonardi I have a diabetic neuropathy. I risked not walking anymore . I'm 40 days that I attend the doctor's office , and now I walk home without a cane. On the street I use it , because of the holes that abound in Rome. the Doctor lifted my spirits a lot with her sympathy. I don't usually give compliments, but if it happens to me ...... I gladly do them.
Carmela Martino I came to Dr. Virginia Barghini after a diagnosis of Parkinson's. At the first meeting we had a long conversation where I tried to know all my fears and he immediately reassured me on the path we could take together for recovery.. She is a highly motivated doctor who strongly believes in her work with patients. Very empathetic, sometimes severe when there is a need to shake and make the patient react from his fears and encourage him to work hard. Beyond the work of balance posture related to the problems of Parkinson's, I want to point out a great physiotherapeutic ability, where the doctor does not spare herself by literally putting her body and soul into it, and working hard together with the patient. It solved a serious problem with my frozen shoulder and we are still working on issues related to my back and posture. A petite doctor from whom you don't expect a lot of energy and physicality, all united by sympathy and very serious professionalism. It is a year together and a weekly appointment in which it helps me to fight Parkinson's disease with confidence. And a last note ... low costs for so much dedication to patients. Thanks doctor.
Rosanna I just met her but I must say that she was very professional but also very nice; good at relating and mainly "human" With her at the moment I have solved some of my problems and I am sure that in the future ,in need,I would get back to you Thank you
Kim Knour Seeing Dottoressa Barghini was the best decision I could have made. Her treatment was very helpful! Even without doing something complicated, she managed to vanish my pain in just 2 sessions. She always asked for what I needed and stayed in contact in between the sessions to be sure how I felt and if she needed to adapt her methods. So, it is the right place for a personal and professional treatment. Dottoressa Barghini is a very friendly and open physiotherapist who I can recommend a lot. Thank you for making me feel better!
