Orthopedic rehabilitation

General description

Orthopedic rehabilitation aims at recovering the patient's functional motor skills, when these are reduced due to pathologies of the osteo-muscle-tendon system of an acute or sub-acute type.

Includes treatment of trauma outcomes, the post-operative rehabilitation of joint prosthetic implants (hip prosthesis, knee prosthesis), the treatment of pathologies of inflammatory origin (such as tendonitis, borsiti o tenosinoviti), degenerative or rheumatological (such as osteoarthritis and arthritis), of the scoliosis and of the widespread pathologies affecting the cervico-dorsal-lumbar spine such as low back pain, dorsalgie e cervicalgie.

the different methods acquired over the years have made refined and tested techniques available to me to set up a personalized and diversified treatment for each patient: joint mobilizations, pumping, muscle strengthening and stretching (through the use of techniques Kabat method), proprioceptive stimulations, postural gymnastics Mézières, lymphatic drainage o hypopressive gymnastics Caufries depending on the needs of the individual clinical case. If necessary, I make use of the aid of instrumental therapy, integrating the sessions with the application of tecartherapy.

In recent years I have often included the use of the neuromuscular taping applied according to the Australian method of Dr.. David Blow, because I have found a strong clinical efficacy on pain, the drainage of edema and proprioception.
